Job summary

TTM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Microsection Operator to join its Sterling, VA team. The role focuses on reading shop travelers, setting up and operating machinery such as grinders and inspection equipment, and maintaining product quality while adhering to safety standards.

The position requires English literacy, a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1–2 years of manufacturing experience. Overtime and weekend work may be required, with a strong emphasis on precision and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred; aerospace/AS9100 experience a plus.
• Proficient reading of English work orders, blueprints, and shop documents.
• Ability to use basic computer systems to update records and data.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand shop traveler (order and specs).
• Set up and operate various machinery per processes and job requirements.
• Consistently evaluate product for quality and document data.
• Verify completion and quality of prior operations.
• Record defects and report issues to management or engineering.
• Cross-train in other departments and maintain a clean, safe area.
