The Department of Biology at College of William & Mary invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Microbiology beginning August 10, 2027. Qualifications

• Ph.D. in microbiology or related field completed by Aug 10, 2027.
• 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline to be taught.
• Postdoctoral experience.
• Ability to establish an externally funded research program for undergraduates/ graduates.
• Ability to conduct research in BSL-2 environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and publish innovative research in microbiology with undergraduate involvement.
• Teach two sophomore-level microbiology courses with laboratories per semester.
• Provide mentoring and participate in departmental service.
