You will handle specimen receipt, processing, storage, and submission for referral testing, contributing to patient care.

Qualifications

• 2-year or associate degree in science required.
• 4-year bachelor in medical technology preferred.
• Florida licensure required or can be obtained during interview.
• Microbiology with serology/immunology experience preferred.
• 2 years’ clinical lab experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform stat and routine microbiology and/or serology testing.
• Apply theoretical concepts of laboratory medicine with independent judgment.
• Handle non-technical duties including specimen receipt, processing, storage, and referral testing submission.
• Support the department in achieving goals for service, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Education

2 Year/Associate’s Degree in a science

4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology is preferred

State of Florida Technologist License is required OR the ability to obtain a license during the interview process

Technical specialty in Microbiology with Serology/Immunology experience

2 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory setting
