Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN seeks a full-time Microbiology Lab Technician for day shifts with weekend rotation. You will perform a broad range of clinical laboratory tests, prepare specimens, and report results with accuracy while supporting QC and patient safety.

Strong teamwork and adherence to HIPAA and laboratory standards are essential. Responsibilities include supervising MLT staff as needed, maintaining equipment, and ensuring timely communication with nursing units.

Qualifications

• Performs clinical lab tests and procedures following established standards and practices.
• Interprets and reports test results in a timely manner.
• Supervises Medical Lab Technicians as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs tests across hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, blood gases and cardiac testing.
• Performs waived testing per CLIA standards.
• Prepares and handles specimens and prepares them for diagnostic testing.
• Maintains and documents lab results, QC, and data in the LIS.
