Mérieux NutriSciences - North America is seeking a Microbiology Technician - Media in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on preparing samples, recording data, labeling, and performing analytical steps in a controlled laboratory environment.

You will adhere to safety policies, maintain LIMS records, and support quality improvements while working 8 AM start time, Sunday to Thursday, in a full-time capacity with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 1+ year relevant work experience.
• Basic science knowledge to perform testing procedures and obtain accurate results.
• Basic PC skills to enter testing data and results.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and policies is necessary to ensure a safe environment.
• Planning skills help maintain supplies and meet timelines.

Responsabilités

• Prepare samples for analysis by recording, weighing, and blending.
• Label plates with client and sample numbers for traceability.
• Pipette solutions into tubes or plates per analysis process.
• Pour agar into plates or tubes to start growth.
• Incubate plates at specified time and temperature.
• Prepare media and broth for pathogen testing as required.
• Ensure materials are ready for next testing sequence.
• Maintain familiarity with the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Set up equipment and materials needed for analysis.
• Read plates and tubes to determine organism counts.
• Support quality and continuous improvement processes.
• Keep work areas clean and sanitized; perform housekeeping.
