Job summary

MERIEUX NUTRISCIENCES in Columbus, OH is seeking a Microbiology Technician to prepare samples, record data, and support testing workflows in a fast-paced lab. The role starts at 10 AM, Monday through Friday, and is full-time with comprehensive benefits.

You will work with LIMS and rely on careful pipetting, weighing, and follow safety protocols. The position requires a high school diploma and at least one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 1+ year relevant work.
• Basic science knowledge to perform testing procedures.
• Basic PC knowledge to enter testing data and results.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and policies.
• Planning skills to maintain supplies and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis by recording, weighing, and blending.
• Pipette sample solution into tubes or plates as required.
• Write IDs on plates to track clients and samples.
• Maintain documentation in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Ensure media and materials are prepared for next testing sequence.
• Follow safety policies and keep work areas clean and sanitized.
