Job summary

Certified Group is seeking a Microbiology Technician in Green Bay, WI to prepare samples for microbiological testing of foods and ingredients. The role applies approved microbiological techniques and maintains lab infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00am-7:00pm. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED; an associate degree or 2 years lab experience is preferred. Safety, accuracy, and timely communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Life Science or 2 years of laboratory experience preferred.
• Broad knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of a food testing laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for indicator organisms, pathogens, and chemistries.
• Apply aseptic techniques in daily workload.
• Maintain media and reagents for daily microbiological testing.
• Inventory and report expendable supplies/materials needed for testing requirements.
• Provide routine preventive maintenance by daily cleaning, sanitizing, and trash disposal.
• Perform quality control monitoring by taking incubator temperatures and running controls.
