Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician II to perform routine and non-routine lab tests under supervision, with Sunday to Thursday shift 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM.

This role is in Microbiology, offers competitive hourly pay starting at $27.77 plus potential shift differentials and annual bonus eligibility, with comprehensive benefits starting Day 1 for full-time staff.

Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years high complexity testing in clinical laboratory experience for those with BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology.
Previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR 493.1433 published in March 14, 1990.
ASCP Certification preferred to support assay work and compliance.

Responsibilities

Perform and report on assigned analytical tests per SOP with QC requirements.
May perform some moderate/high complexity testing with training and oversight.
Support lab policies for specimen handling, processing, test analysis and records.
Adhere to schedules to maintain turnaround times including STATS/critical results.
Ensure reagents have lot dates, expiry and opened dates where applicable.
Document QC analyses and decisions; inform supervisors of issues.
Review test results in LIS for traceable physician reports.
Maintain clean, safe lab areas and equipment; complete training and competency checks.
Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA and safety requirements; use PPE and controls as directed.
