Qualifications

• 2-5 years Microbiology Clinical Laboratory Experience
• CA Clinical Laboratory Scientist License or Clinical Microbiologist Scientist License
• 2 years leadership experience in an acute care setting required

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of the Microbiology department and ensure compliance with CLIA requirements.
• Provide clinical microbiology consultations to medical and hospital staff.
• Review tests and validate procedures to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Train new employees and supervise workload organization for scientists and phlebotomists.
• Maintain inventory control of supplies and reagents and manage staff scheduling.
