• Verifies test procedures and establishes the laboratory's test performance characteristics (linearity, precision, accuracy).
• Oversees quality control and proficiency testing, troubleshoots issues, and maintains analytic performance parameters.
• Reviews work to ensure tests are performed to prescribed standards.
• Maintains inventory control of supplies and reagents in the section(s).
• Assists in staff performance evaluations and in operational duties as directed by Laboratory Director or Manager.
