Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology or Chemistry.
• National Certification as a Medical Technician is required.
• State license where required (CA, FL, GA, HI, LA, MT, NV, NY, ND, RI, WV).
• Knowledge of laboratory methods and microbiology and infectious disease processes.
• General knowledge of accreditation and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
• Problem solving and decision making abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work.

Responsibilities

• Process specimens and perform moderate to high complexity testing.
• Work under supervision when required and follow direction of supervisors.
• Ensure timely processing and regulatory/compliance adherence.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment per schedule.
• Apply laboratory concepts to ensure accuracy of results.
• Adhere to QC/QA policies and accreditation requirements.
