Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Microbiology Technologist to perform stat and routine microbiology and serology testing under supervision. Responsibilities include specimen processing, quality control, and equipment maintenance in a fast-paced lab environment.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field and national MT certification. Licensure where required and microbiology certification are noted preferences. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• National MT certification required; AMT/ASCP accepted.
• State license where required (CA, FL, GA, HI, LA, MT, NV, NY, ND, RI, TN, WV).
• Specialist in Microbiology certification is desired.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform specimen processing, stat and routine microbiology, serology testing.
• Ensure timely, compliant specimen processing and testing procedures.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Apply laboratory medicine principles to guarantee accurate results.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Adhere to quality control and assurance policies.
