Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Microbiology Technician to support CRL – Mountain Division's laboratory operations. The role focuses on specimen processing, moderate and high complexity testing, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

You will work under the supervision of department leadership, perform preventive maintenance, and assure timely, accurate results in a collaborative team environment. A strong foundation in lab medicine and quality control is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in medical technology, biomedical science, biology or chemistry required.
• National certification as a Medical Technician required.
• State license where required (CA, FL, GA, HI, LA, MT, NV, NY, ND, RI, WV).
• Knowledge of laboratory methods and microbiology and infectious disease processes.
• Understanding of laboratory accreditation and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing and testing including moderate and high complexity testing.
• Follow oversight requirements where applicable and work under supervision as needed.
• Ensure timely processing and testing in line with policies and accrediting requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment per schedule.
• Demonstrate understanding of laboratory medicine and ensure accuracy of results.
