Job summary

PepsiCo Deutschland GmbH is seeking an R&D Microbiology Assistant Scientist to support microbiology testing, challenge studies, and governance programs within the Global R&D Microbiology team. You will assist with lab operations, safety leadership, and culture collection management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include routine analyses, media prep, and maintenance of documentation, GLP standards, and vendor coordination for supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in microbiology, biology, food science or related field.
• 3–5 years of microbiology laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of GLP and good laboratory practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine microbiological analyses of beverages, ingredients, concentrates and related materials.
• Prepare microbiological media, reagents and laboratory supplies; support challenge and qualification studies.
• Ensure accurate sample logging, documentation, reporting and record retention.
