Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Microbiology Analyst I to prepare and analyze environmental water samples using EPA methods, within QA programs and SOPs.

Schedule is Monday–Friday 10:00am–6:00pm; full-time; compensation based on experience; $18-22/hour. Must live commutable to lab. The role emphasizes GMP/GLP, data entry into LIMS, and maintaining accurate records while supporting a small team of analysts.

Qualifications

• Biological degree preferred with or a minimum of 4 credit hours of Microbiology.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, speak).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility as appropriate.
• Regular attendance and punctuality; contribute to a small team of analysts.
• Perform basic microbiology techniques and prepare media/cultures.
• Enter data into LIMS; maintain precise records.
• Cultivate and enumerate infectious bacterial pathogens using standard methods.
• Disposes of waste and maintains a safe work environment.
