Qualifications

• Bioinformatics experience (wet and dry lab).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for molecular and serological diagnosis of pertussis and diphtheria.
• Support molecular and serologic diagnostic services and genome-based typing.
• Assist in data analysis and specimen management.
• Perform assays during outbreak responses or special requests.
• Develop and validate diagnostic assays for Bordetella and Corynebacterium species.
• Collaborate with CDC epidemiologists and MPDE programs.
• Support diagnostics tests and typing systems including genomics and proteomics.
• Follow QA/QMS and CLIA requirements; maintain lab areas and equipment.
