Job summary

Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling in Rancho Cucamonga, CA is seeking a Microbiology professional to conduct and oversee testing across raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products for a leading beverage portfolio.

Responsibilities include interpreting results, investigating OOS events, maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring adherence to SOPs and regulatory standards. Strong background in GMP/GLP and environmental monitoring is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, or related field with 4–6 years of experience.
• Microbiology laboratory experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing, beverage production, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of microbiological testing techniques and laboratory practices.
• Understanding of GMP, GLP, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and ISO standards.
• Experience with environmental monitoring programs.

• Review, interpret, and approve microbiological test results.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results, deviations, and contamination events.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and testing supplies.
• Collect microbiological sampling of beverages, syrups, raw materials, and sanitation effectiveness swabbing by utilizing aseptic technique.
• Ability to work in laboratory and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Other projects or duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, or a related scientific discipline with 4 to 6 years of related experience or High School Diploma/General Education Degree and 7 to 9 plus years of specific experience
• Microbiology laboratory experience
• Experience in food manufacturing, beverage production, Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industries
• Strong knowledge of microbiological testing techniques and laboratory practices
• Understanding of GMP, GLP, HACCP, FDA, USDA, and ISO standards Experience with environmental monitoring programs

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Food & Beverage industry experience
• HACCP/PCQI Certification
• Microbiologist Certification
• 2 plus years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
