DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Promote image of the restaurant by displaying impeccable manners, diplomacy and tact towards guests.

2. Maintain constant flow of communication with and to the team.

3. Serves food and beverage to guests in established service style and standard.

4. Always recommends specials, meals, appetizers, and/or beverages to the guests in an upselling manner and answers any questions.

5. Relays orders to kitchen/bar following established procedures

6. Educated in food preparation, food allergies and beverage/wine knowledge

7. Monitors guests to fulfill additional requests.

8. Maintains supplies of China, Cutlery and Condiments for side station, keeps side station clean and orderly.

9. Organizes the back storeroom when needed.

10. Complete dry requisition

11. Sets and clears tables when needed ensuring standards are met.

12. Make sure micros station and check presenters are properly maintained.

13. Makes roll-ups prior to and after each shift.

14. Collects Food & Beverage orders from the kitchen when needed.

15. Attends pre-meal briefing sessions.

16. Ensures personal grooming and hotel uniform is to the required standard.

17. Complies with hotel's health, safety and hygiene policy.

18. Follows the procedures on Cash handling and Bill presentation to guests.

19. Prepares and presents Bills according to hotel standard, closing Bill immediately on computer.

20. Communicates politely and display courtesy to guests.

21. Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest comment and other relevant information.

22. Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships.

23. Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled.

24. Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled.

25. Perform other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

• Must be able to speak and understand English

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Food Hygiene awareness and at least basic training.

• Ability to communicate in English with guest.

• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.

• Ability to provide legible written communication.

• Must be TIPS Certified prior to or after hire

Desirable:

• Previous job related experience.

• Food Hygiene certificate.

• First aid awareness.

• Possess a friendly, upbeat & outgoing personality.

The salary range for this role is $13.68 to $14.82This is the lowest to highest pay scale we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
