IHG Hotels & Resorts at the Michael Jordan Steak House in Chicago seeks a guest-focused team member to assist servers, bartenders, and hosts in delivering courteous F&B service.

Responsibilities include setting up tables, greeting guests, restocking stations, and supporting service staff. Must be able to communicate in English, have a HS diploma, and hold a Food Hygiene certificate. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Under the general guidance of the Manager of the Michael Jordan Steak House, responsible for assisting Servers, Bartenders and Host in providing efficient and courteous Food & Beverage service to all guests.

RELATIONSHIPS:

• Reports directly to the Michael Jordan Steak House Manager.
• Co-operates & communicates with other employees
• Interacts with guests as appropriate.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promote image of the restaurant by displaying impeccable manners, diplomacy and tact towards guests.
• Maintain constant flow of communication with and to the team.
• Sets up tables according to standard
• Removes dirty dishes from tables
• Sorts and exchanges soiled linen.
• Welcomes, greets and seats all guest when needed
• Ability to listen and follow up to all guest requests
• Cleans and replenishes guest supplies.
• Restocks stations throughout the day as needed
• Prepares bread station in the pantry (AM) or outside (PM).
• Polishes glassware, chinaware, cutlery, etc.
• Assist with the service when possible and/or as needed.
• After each meal clean properly the station and floor as needed.
• Replenish cupboards with tablecloths, silverware, glasses etc.
• Restock coffee station with cups and clean it after each shift.
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential:

• Must be able to speak and understand English
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Food Hygiene awareness and at least basic training.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests.
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to provide legible written communication.

Desirable:

• Food Hygiene certificate.
• First aid awareness.
• Possess a friendly, upbeat & outgoing personality.

• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.

The salary range for this role is $13.97- $15.13 This is the lowest to highest pay scale we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
