Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team across the building, repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You will install, service, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while mentoring junior technicians.

In this role you will follow safety procedures, complete preventative maintenance, read blueprints, and troubleshoot MHE issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, holidays.
• 1+ years with Microsoft Office products.
• Certification from Amazon's Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience.
• 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience.
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience.
• 2+ years of safety standards experience.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Maintain positive working relationships across Amazon Operations facilities.
• Move up to 49lbs, stand/walk up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform bending, lifting and reaching as required.
