Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Service Technician I to perform general maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment, automated systems, and conveyors. You will schedule preventive maintenance, manage work orders, and troubleshoot complex systems using OEM specs and diagrams.

The role requires reading electrical/hydraulic schematics, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating lift trucks. Travel ~25% and a strong safety mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, G.E.D. or tech school graduate required.
• 0–2 years of mechanic experience; preferably repair and maintenance of material handling, automated systems, and conveyors.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on multiple types of equipment and systems.
• Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics.
• Must be able to safely operate lift trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective repairs and preventive maintenance on MHE, batteries, automated systems and conveyors.
• Schedule Planned Maintenance (PM) for all Fleet Services Equipment and maintain PM records.
• Create and process work orders in the maintenance management system.
• Use manuals and diagrams to troubleshoot engines, fuel systems, transmissions, automated systems and conveyors.
• Report damage, maintain service and inventory records.
• Coordinate with Parts for parts and supplies and maintain inventory records.
• Conduct safety equipment tests to ensure OSHA and operational standards.
• Interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Adhere to 5S workplace organization principles and maintain a clean, safe service area.
