Job summary

Kenco Group is seeking a Service Technician II to perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on material handling equipment, automated systems, and conveyors across Kenco Fleet Services. The role requires coordination with site leaders, meeting performance metrics, and ensuring safety and quality in every service call.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and 2–4 years of mechanic experience, with preferred ASE or electrical journeyman certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, G.E.D. or tech school graduate required.
• 2-4 years of mechanic experience; preferably with repair/maintenance of MHE, automated systems, conveyors.
• ASE Certification preferred. Silver/Gold Certification preferred.
• Electrical journeyman certification preferred.
• Electrical and pneumatic experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on multiple types of equipment.
• Proficiency using email, work order management software, and mobile applications for daily job functions.
• Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics.
• Self-motivated, self-directed, highly responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• Supply own mechanic technician hand tools.
• Must be able to safely operate lift trucks.

Responsibilities

• Schedule PMs of Fleet Services Equipment, automated systems, and conveyors, and keep PM records.
• Perform corrective repairs and preventive maintenance on MHE, batteries, automated systems and conveyors.
• Communicate with site managers, supervisors, and operations leaders regarding status, requirements, timelines, and obstacles.
• Meet or exceed performance metrics like response times, first-time fix rates, and PM completion schedules.
• Manage equipment condition and support repair readiness by reporting damage and coordinating parts.
• Use OEM software, manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to diagnose and adjust equipment.
