Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Mechanical Ground Support Equipment Engineer (Level 4) for the Western Region in Redondo Beach, CA. The role requires hands‑on space hardware experience and a Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.

You will coordinate across program management, systems engineering and flight hardware design to deliver robust MGSE solutions. The position includes a strong emphasis on design for producibility, test development, and end-to-end collaboration across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science Degree in STEM with 8+ years of related engineering experience or MS with 6+ years.
• Experience in Integration, Test, and Launch (IT&L) or Manufacturing environments.
• Strong long‑term planning—resource allocation and schedule execution.
• Extensive technical experience with space vehicle mechanical systems, architecture, testing and manufacturing procedures.
• Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance with SSBI and an active CI Polygraph; willingness to obtain SAP access.
• Excellent written and oral communications and technical presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for procurement, manufacturing, integration, test and delivery for work packages with cost/schedule and technical excellence.
• Design tests to verify system requirements.
• Lead production teams to apply design for producibility principles.
• Develop detailed mechanical integration and test procedures for technicians.
• Document and remedy test anomalies and hardware non-conformances.
• Coordinate across technical disciplines to define operations and accomplish work efficiently.
• Operate in a restricted production environment as a key stakeholder in end-to-end program protection.
