Job summary

Magna International, Cosma Group, in South Carolina, seeks a seasoned Program Manager to lead cross‑functional teams from development to launch for automotive stamping projects.

You will define plans, manage budgets, and ensure delivery within quality, cost, and timing targets, collaborating with production, engineering, and suppliers across the lifecycle. An engineering degree and 5+ years in stamping are required.

Qualifications

  • Education: 4-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalency in an Engineering discipline.
  • Five plus years prior managerial experience with the Automotive Stamping Industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of principles, theories and practices of Project Management.
  • Strong stamping tooling development knowledge from planning to launching.
  • Strong skills in equipment planning and installation for assembly equipment.
  • Knowledge regarding quality expectations, planning and implementation within new projects.
  • Strong skills regarding Automotive product launches.
  • Excellent product knowledge in Class-A and Class-C for the automotive industry.
  • Familiar with APQP, FMEA and related quality tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional program teams to deliver product launches and production programs, ensuring timing, quality, cost, and business objectives.
  • Develop program plans, define team responsibilities, allocate resources, and track progress against milestones.
  • Manage customer expectations with regular status updates and stakeholder communication.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks using structured project management and quality tools.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, and suppliers for flawless execution from development to launch.
  • Manage program budgets, capital expenditures, tooling, equipment suppliers, and change management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, company policies, customer specs, audits, and continuous improvement standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 requirements, company policies, customer specifications, audit requirements, and continuous improvement standards, including 5S and operational excellence initiatives.
Position Requirements

Education: 4-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalency in an Engineering discipline

  • Strong competency with working in teams or as individual unsupervised.
