Job summary

Job Summary

Manages payroll operations for the organization, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery of employee compensation. Oversees payroll processes, reporting, and system functionality while providing leadership to the payroll team. Collaborates with people practices, Finance, and other stakeholders to implement payroll policies, resolve complex issues, and drive process and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manages end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time processing.
  • Oversees payroll tax reporting, reconciliations, and filings in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Leads, manages, develops, and evaluates payroll team members to promote accuracy, consistency, and professional growth.
  • Collaborates with people practices and Finance leaders on payroll policy interpretation, benefit deductions, and system integrations.
  • Implements process improvements and technology enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Oversees payroll audits, controls, and compliance initiatives to reduce risk.
  • Monitors legislative changes affecting payroll operations and ensures timely updates to procedures and systems.
Education Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field required.
Work Experience
  • 10-12 years of progressive experience in payroll management or administration required, including team leadership responsibilities.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) required.
