Job summary

The State of Indiana is seeking a Money Follows the Person (MFP) Data Quality Analyst to ensure data integrity and develop quality indicators for Medicaid-related programs. The role liaises between the Bureau of Better Aging, Office of Medicaid Policy and Planning, and Bureau of Disabilities Services to ensure compliance with state, federal, and grant requirements.

You will compile, analyze, and fulfill MFP data reporting needs, assist the MFP Project Director with administrative tasks, and work

Qualifications

• Experience with data manipulation including cleansing, standardizing, and transforming.
• Knowledge of statistical software, open-source programming languages, and database querying or demonstrated ability to learn.
• Experience with SQL, Tableau, R, Python, PowerBI, and/or ArcGIS.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Broad knowledge of data analysis, analytics, or statistics or demonstrated ability to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assists with transferring raw data to the appropriate location for use in data analysis projects.
• Wrangles, cleans, and validates agency data sources following guidance from senior staff.
• Contributes to general analysis of agency datasets.
• Conducts data quality checks to ensure validity and cleanliness of datasets before analysis.
• Interprets data from multiple sources to support statistical methodologies.
• Develops data visualizations to communicate findings to target audiences.
