Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking a skilled Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our fast-paced Women’s Services team in Birmingham, AL. You will work with one MFM physician and two NPs to provide diagnostic ultrasound for high-risk pregnancies.

The role emphasizes accurate imaging, adherence to AIUM/ACOG/SMFM guidelines, and compassionate patient-centered care in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• RDMS (OB/GYN) certification is required.
• Graduate of an accredited sonography program.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain.
• RDCS (FE) certification preferred within 1 year.
• Experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive maternal fetal ultrasound examinations with high-quality imaging.
• Obtain accurate measurements and documentation per AIUM/ACOG/SMFM guidelines.
• Communicate abnormal findings to the MFM physician promptly.
• Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures and patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safety standards.
• Support training and mentoring of new team members as needed.
