Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to independently operate ultrasound equipment and perform detailed examinations on high risk pregnancies. The role supports quality, safety and patient experience within the Radiology team.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, ARDMS certification (or eligible), NT certification within 12 months, and Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Education Preferred: Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Experience Required: 3 years experience performing high risk OB ultrasound examinations.
• Other Skills/Knowledge Required: English communication with patients, visitors and hospital team.
• Licenses, Registrations, Certifications: ARDMS in specialty or registry eligible; NT certification within 12 months of hire.
• LIFE SUPPORT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Operates sonographic equipment and performs detailed diagnostic sonography on high risk pregnancies.
• Educates and informs patients and family throughout the experience.
• Communicates findings to physicians and integrates patient history.
