Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME seeks a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer to perform independent obstetric ultrasound assessments. Qualified candidates will have ARDMS OB registry and fetal echocardiography credentials within specified timelines and experience in high-risk obstetric imaging.

The role is PRN with variable hours, requiring robust knowledge of OB ultrasound, fetal conditions, and comprehensive reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• 2-year allied health program that is patient care related or bachelor’s degree.
• Must be ARDMS registered in OB within one year, NT certified within one year and fetal echo certified within two years of hire.
• Experience in obstetrical ultrasound preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs all requested sonographic examinations as ordered by the attending physician.
• Produces high-quality diagnostic information and prepares preliminary reports.
• Provides summary findings to the physician to aid in patient diagnosis and management.
• Maintains patient privacy and adheres to department policies.
