Job summary

Goldbelt Glacier seeks licensed Adult Counselor to deliver short-term counseling to military members and families in Alaska under MFLC. This role includes individual, couples, and group sessions, briefings, and walk-around outreach to reduce counseling stigma.

Experience with military life, strong communication skills, and ability to travel 10% are essential. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a mental health-related field.
• Licensure at the independent practice level (LCSW, LMFT, LPC LCPC, LMHC).
• Ability to pass background/suitability checks including CNACI security clearance.
• Fluency in English.
• Valid driver’s license with local travel ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face, short-term, non-medical counseling to service members and families.
• Make referrals or handoffs to military and community resources as needed.
• Deliver presentations/briefings using approved training materials.
• Offer outreach to parents and installation staff.
• Submit activity forms daily showing 8 hours of direct contact.
• Report time daily for employer and government.
