Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a shift-lead level supervisor to guide the department when the supervisor is unavailable and to keep production running safely and efficiently on the floor in Layton, Utah. You will model Kroger values, manage daily tasks, and coordinate line activities to meet safety, quality and productivity goals.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills are essential.
• Effective verbal communication is required.
• Forklift certification is required.
• Basic math skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive assignments from shift supervisor and direct department tasks.
• Coordinate on-the-job training and cross-training with co-workers.
• Address issues through the Quality Improvement Process and Work Order Request System.
• Develop and ensure SOP compliance with associates.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate issues to management.
• Facilitate intra- and inter-department communication and shift handoffs.
• Maintain attendance and overtime as needed.
• Uphold Kroger Values and Food Safety and Quality Principles.
• Support SQF 2000 systems development and improvement.
• Work around ingredients and products with potential allergens.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
