Responsibilities

  • Monitor and investigate inventory discrepancies.
  • Analyze monthly KARDEX shelf-utilization and space optimization using Power Pick Global.
  • Report hardware/software issues to MFG Supply Chain leadership.
  • Coordinate with Receiving and Purchasing to investigate PO inventory discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with departments to fulfill item movement requests.
  • Conduct cycle counts of manufacturing warehouse locations on request.
  • Support annual inventory and ensure safety and compliance.

General Purpose:

Responsible for material movements and accurate inventory management within the manufacturing sites.

Shift(s) Available:

  • 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM) Monday through Friday

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Use company ERP system and Power Pick Global (KARDEX Remstar) to provide MFG departments with raw materials and WIP, process incoming purchase orders, and perform inventory cycle counts
  • Monitor and investigate inventory discrepancies
  • Analyze/report monthly KARDEX shelf-utilization and space maximization (Power Pick Global)
  • Check and promptly report any hardware and/or software issues to MFG Supply Chain leadership
  • Coordinate with Receiving and Purchasing to investigate purchase order (PO) inventory discrepancy
  • Coordinate with all departments to fulfill item or part movement requests
  • Cycle count Manufacturing warehouse locations upon MFG Supply Chain leadership’s request
  • Responsible for conducting the Companies annual inventory
  • Responsible for the delivery of all inventory items by efficiently operating a variety of equipment including a forklift, powered pallet jack, hand truck, and box truck
  • 5S: Making sure the work area is kept in a clean and safe manner
  • LEAN: Supports all lean activities in the Manufacturing Supply Chain, especially the sustainable execution and implementation of 5S principles (order and cleanliness) and continuous process improvement (stable processes) based on KAIZEN principles to achieve highest quality standards
  • Participates in MFG Supply Chain projects under MFG Supply Chain leadership as needed
  • Performs other assignments as needed when directed by MFG Supply Chain leadership
  • Ensures compliance with legal- and company ordinances in his/her areas of responsibility
  • Ensures compliance to ISO-, OSHA- and Environmental Protection regulatory and ensures highest safety standards in his/her area of responsibility
  • Keeps his/her standard of knowledge up-to-date in his/her area of responsibility through continuing education measures

Education and/or Experience Preferences:

A High School diploma or GED; 1-2 years related experience preferred and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Must have 1-2 years experiences using computer based material management and proven proficiency with MRP systems

Knowledge in state-of-the-art ERP systems like MS Dynamics AX, KARDEX and Power Pick Global

Experience operating forklifts, powered pallet jacks, hand trucks, and box trucks

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid Driver’s License

OSHA Powered Industrial Truck certified or ability to obtain certification

DOT certified or ability to obtain current DOT certification

Personal safety protective equipment required. The employee is regularly required to push a cart with an average weight of 260 lbs.

While performing the duties of this job, the work environment primarily requires the employee to be occasionally exposed to filtered humidity and temperature controlled air between 65ºF and 80ºF and sometimes outside weather conditions, which can include sunshine, rain, sleet and snow, high or low temperature and humidity. The employee is regularly required to work in an office environment and with computers. Work regularly scheduled shifts within our hours of operation and may be asked to work overtime and weekends when needed for special programs or events.
