Cartamundi Dallas is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Export Inspector to ensure compliant movement of goods across borders, primarily exports to Mexico. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, coordination with brokers, and SAP-based recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years in logistics, shipping, customs, or international trade.
• Experience with customs brokers, freight forwarders, or cross-border transport.
• Proficient with MS Office; SAP/ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and approve export documentation for shipments to Mexico.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders.
• Validate descriptions, item numbers, quantities, origin info, and shipment details for accuracy.
• Perform physical inspections to match counts and docs.
• Ensure invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and export documents are complete and accurate.
• Investigate discrepancies in quantities, numbers, or documentation.
• Maintain shipment/compliance records in SAP and related systems.
• Monitor shipment status and communicate delays or compliance concerns.
• Support audits related to customs, IMMEX, USMCA, and other requirements.
• Maintain compliance with US/Mexican customs regulations and policies.
