Job summary

Cartamundi is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Export Inspector in Dallas, TX to support compliant movement of goods across borders, with focus on exports to Mexico. You will verify documentation, coordinate with brokers, and ensure accuracy of shipments.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish, 2+ years in logistics or trade, and proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office. This full-time position offers a climate-controlled facility and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, shipping, warehouse operations, customs compliance, or international trade.
• Experience with customs brokers, freight forwarders, or cross-border transportation providers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve export documentation for shipments
• Coordinate with brokers, forwarders, and internal stakeholders
• Validate descriptions, numbers, country of origin, and shipment details
• Perform physical inspections to confirm counts and IDs
• Ensure accuracy of invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading
• Investigate discrepancies in shipment quantities and docs
• Maintain shipment and compliance records in SAP and related systems
• Monitor status and report delays or compliance concerns
• Assist audits related to customs, IMMEX, USMCA, and other requirements
• Maintain compliance with US and Mexican regulations and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned
