Rothe is seeking a Metrology Technician I to support our Calibration and Metrology operations at our Webster, Texas headquarters. This onsite role conducts repairs and calibrations on customer and laboratory equipment in an ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited lab, with a focus on Pressure and Torque calibrations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, at least 3 years’ calibration experience, and ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification.

• Keeps the Lab Manager informed of any equipment status changes that would affect its delivery.
• Reports any problems or needed improvements to the Lab Manager.
• Must be aware of the relevance and importance of their activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the management system.

Rothe is seeking a Metrology Technician I to support our Calibration and Metrology operations at our Webster, Texas headquarters. Founded in 1967, Rothe is a mission-critical infrastructure and engineering company supporting federal agencies, commercial space, energy, and healthcare markets. Our ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited calibration laboratory serves NASA, commercial space, defense, energy, and healthcare customers.

Rothe is hiring metrology technicians right now. Our Houston area calibration laboratory is expanding across every technician level, we review applications daily, we interview on a rolling basis, and we are ready to move quickly for qualified candidates. Every technician position in the lab is eligible for a sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance is considered on a case-by-case basis.

Job Description

The Metrology Technician I performs repairs and calibrations on customer and laboratory equipment in Rothe's ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI Z540 accredited Metrology Calibration Laboratory. This position is proficient in Pressure and Torque calibrations and requires minimal supervision to perform calibrations in these areas in the lab or at customer sites. The Metrology Technician I reports to the Lab Manager and may be assigned the position of Onsite Lead as required.

Education and Experience

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum Experience

Minimum 3 years' training or experience in calibration or a related field. Reports to the Lab Manager.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' training or experience in calibration or a related field
• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification
• On the job training; proficient in Pressure and Torque calibrations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Physical Dimensional or DC & Low calibrations
• Prior experience performing calibrations at customer sites
• Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements as they relate to the calibration process
