Job summary

Caliberr Staffing seeks a Metrology Technician and Inspection Programmer to lead automated CMM inspection routines and fixture design. You will ensure high-precision measurements across production cycles and contribute to quality improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3+ years in metrology, expertise in Calypso/PC-DMIS, and a solid grasp of GD&T per ASME Y14.5. You will train operators and collaborate with engineering to optimize data collection.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years hands-on metrology and CMM programming.
• Proficiency in Calypso or PC-DMIS.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and 3D modeling/drafting.
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret technical specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication for cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and run automated CMM inspection programs for first-article, in-process, and final parts.
• Engineer custom work-holding fixtures and inspection tooling to optimize measurement accuracy.
• Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gage R&R studies.
• Maintain and calibrate metrology equipment including CMMs, Vision Systems, and Contracers.
• Analyze drawings to establish robust inspection criteria based on GD&T.
• Provide technical leadership by training operators and supporting root cause investigations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automated data collection into inspection plans.
