Job summary

TOMZ is seeking a CMM Programmer/Metrologist to develop, verify, and maintain automated inspection programs across production phases. You will ensure bias control, perform Gage R&R and MSA activities, and design fixtures to stabilize setups.

Strong GD&T skills and hands-on CMM experience are essential. Candidates should be proficient in Calypso or Open DMIS, with 3D modeling/drafting knowledge and software literacy for data integration and documentation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency reading GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Hands-on knowledge of precision measuring tools and systems (CMMs, Vision Systems, Contracers).
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Experience with 3D modeling and drafting.
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe PDF experience.
• Ability to collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and QA.

Responsibilities

• Develop, verify, and operate automated inspection programs for all production phases.
• Limit measurement bias and improve repeatability/reproducibility through robust prove-outs.
• Maintain automated inspection assets; qualification, cleaning, and scale checks.
• Design and procure fixtures; set criteria for instruments and specifications.
• Enable automatic data collection linked to inspection plans.
