Position Description
Join Applied Medical and be at the forefront of revolutionizing medical device manufacturing. As a Metrology Technician at Applied Medical, you will play a pivotal role in developing inspection equipment and methods for medical device components. You will leverage your expertise in metrology to support the company's mission of delivering high-quality medical devices to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and set up inspection fixtures based on engineering drawings.
- Use and program measurement tools like Keyence IM 7030T, Nikon VMR, calipers, and micrometers.
- Perform tests, collect data, and analyze measurements.
- Write simple reports and follow test procedures.
- Work with engineers and other teams to support projects and solve problems.
- Handle multiple tasks independently while keeping good records.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Experience with measurement tools and inspection equipment.
- Able to read and understand basic engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Good at writing clear reports and following instructions.
- Able to work independently and manage your own time.
Preferred
- Experience with designing fixtures or tooling in SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes for medical devices.
- Experience creating simple technical documents.
- Basic knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) or quality control methods.
