Position Description

J oin Applied Medical and be at the forefront of revolutionizing medical device manufacturing. As a Metrology Technician at Applied Medical, you will play a pivotal role in developing inspection equipment and methods for medical device components. You will leverage your expertise in metrology to support the company's mission of delivering high-quality medical devices to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and set up inspection fixtures based on engineering drawings.
  • Use and program measurement tools like Keyence IM 7030T, Nikon VMR, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Perform tests, collect data, and analyze measurements.
  • Write simple reports and follow test procedures.
  • Work with engineers and other teams to support projects and solve problems.
  • Handle multiple tasks independently while keeping good records.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience with measurement tools and inspection equipment.
  • Able to read and understand basic engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Good at writing clear reports and following instructions.
  • Able to work independently and manage your own time.

Preferred

  • Experience with designing fixtures or tooling in SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes for medical devices.
  • Experience creating simple technical documents.
  • Basic knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) or quality control methods.
