Job summary

HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a metrology-focused engineer to perform measurement surveys using Photogrammetry, Total Stations, Laser Trackers, and CMMs. You will leverage 3D modeling software and design drawings to plan surveys and analyze data for end users.

The role includes developing reliability studies and recommending measurement methodologies for product test and design evaluation. Qualifications include a graduation certificate or equivalent, with 2–4 years of related

Qualifications

A graduation certificate may substitute for an Apprentice Certification or an Associate's degree.
2 years of related experience can substitute for an Associate's degree.
4 years of non-related experience can substitute for an Associate's degree.

Responsibilities

Conduct measurement surveys using Photogrammetry, Total Stations, Laser Trackers or CMMs.
Use 3D model software and drawings to plan and execute surveys.
Analyze collected data and deliver end-user reports.
Develop reliability studies and recommend metrology methods.
