Job summary

Tokyo Electron America, Inc. seeks a hands-on Senior Electrical Engineer to develop metrology systems for semiconductor processing equipment in Fremont, CA. The role covers low-noise analog, mixed-signal electronics, and controls across power, motion, optics, and sensors.

You will define electrical architecture, design PCBs, bring-up prototypes, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure robust, manufacturable solutions with rigorous quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• BSEE or related field with 7+ years; MSEE with 5+ years.
• Experience bringing electrical hardware from prototype to release.
• Expertise in at least one area such as low-noise analog, mixed-signal, embedded controls, or power systems.
• Experience with board-level circuit design, PCB bring-up, testing and debugging.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design low-noise analog, mixed-signal, and digital control electronics.
• Develop custom PCBs from concept through bring-up and release.
• Integrate power supplies, motion and thermal controls, sensors and safety circuits.
• Define electrical architecture and produce drawings, BOMs, and tests.
• Prototype, test, and troubleshoot hardware and related systems.
• Diagnose issues across hardware, firmware, software, optics, and interfaces.
• Develop firmware/HDL/scripts/drivers for device control and testing.
• Select components and suppliers based on performance and cost.
• Own systems from prototype to release and manufacturing support.
• Communicate risks and progress in design reviews and projects.
