Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Detroit, MI seeks a PC‑DMIS CMM Programmer and Metrology Specialist to plan layouts, program CMMs, and verify critical dimensions against ANSI tolerances. You will manage multiple machines, conduct capability studies, certify gages, and contribute to PPAP while following MIOSHA safety standards.

The role requires GD&T expertise, blueprint reading, SPC skills, and hands-on use of precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height and radius gages).

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of one year directly related experience operating a CMM using PC-DMIS and/or formal training.

Responsibilities

• Translate blueprints and GD&T into PC‑DMIS CMM programs.
• Execute in-depth part layouts using direct-drive CMM.
• Operate multiple machines to meet throughput needs.
• Run capability studies and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Certify check fixtures and record data in MQ1.
• Perform CMM gage certifications and manage Gage R&R.
• Enter gages into the system and maintain calibrations in MQ1.
• Adhere to MIOSHA safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Assist with PPAP submissions and documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and reliable attendance.
