Job summary

JVIS in Michigan is seeking a CMM Technician to run CMM programs from CAD data, perform dimensional studies, and coordinate layout inspections to avoid project delays. The role reports to the Quality Manager and involves maintaining CMM software and calibration, and performing GD&T-based inspections.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of CMM operation experience, familiarity with PC-DMIS, Datapage, and gage R&R, and be capable of using basic measuring tools and office software.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year CMM operation experience.
• Metrology knowledge including GD&T and gage R&R.
• Proficient with Windows, Excel and Word; some programming experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent JVIS to the customer quality assurance function and report issues with corrective action.
• Perform part layouts, capability studies, GRR & gage inspections.
• Conduct dimensional studies and report statistical data to appropriate party.
• Maintain procedures to control and calibrate the CMM and its software.
• Use hand tools (calipers, micrometers, height gage) as required.
• Supervise or perform CMM operations and maintenance of CMM software files.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949/ISO 9001/ISO 14001.
• Follow safety and company policies.
