Job summary

ASM is seeking a hands-on Lab Specialist to join the Metrology team in Phoenix. You will operate advanced instrumentation, develop analytical methods, and deliver high-quality data to engineering teams.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree (Materials Science preferred) or equivalent experience, and are eager to learn from top experts in the semiconductor field. Willingness to work three shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a technical field (Materials Science preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Experience in thin film analysis is a plus.
• Programming skills are highly valued.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive attitude.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work in a three-shift system.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot metrology systems in and outside the clean room.
• Perform standard analysis procedures and report results clearly.
• Prepare samples for FIB lift-out including site identification and coating.
• Collect and organize data for internal/external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop analytical methods and techniques.
• Maintain lab cleanliness and 6S standards.
