Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a Chemical Lab Equipment Technician to support PM, calibration, and troubleshooting of analytical instruments in a leading semiconductor lab environment. You will coordinate lab startup activities, inspect on-site construction, and assist with utility hookups and site acceptance testing.

Ideal candidates have a background in science, hands-on experience with ICP‑MS/GC‑MS/HPLC/IC/DSC, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.S.) or BS in Science (mechanics, chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, mechanical, electrical technology, electronics, vacuum technology, materials science or related field).
• Strong familiarity with chemical hygiene, chemical safety (OSHA standards), and pressurized utility safety.
• Familiarity with computerized systems (CMMS, LIMS, or MES) for maintenance and inventory tracking.
• Bilingual English and Mandarin preferred.
• Hands‑on experience in semiconductor cleanroom, high‑tech manufacturing, or chemical lab environment.
• On‑site construction monitoring, tool hook‑up coordination, or field inspection experience.
• Experience with wet chemistry setups and gas/liquid delivery lines.
• Experience operating/maintaining analytical instruments (ICP‑MS, GC‑MS, HPLC, IC, DSC).
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, instrument specifications, and P&ID diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance (PM) & calibration on analytical instruments (ICP‑MS, GC‑MS, IC, HPLC, DSC).
• First-line troubleshooting; document failures and coordinate with vendors for advanced repairs.
• Coordinate lab construction startups; inspect site alignment with engineering blueprints and specs.
• Assist in equipment hookup, site acceptance testing, and utility connections.
• Track consumables and spare parts using LIMS/MES for accuracy.
• Uphold OSHA, CHP, LOTO and chemical handling safety guidelines.
