Job summary

The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research in Danville, VA is seeking an ATDM Metrology Instructor to develop and deliver hands-on metrology instruction. You will guide students through CMM use, GD&T, blueprint reading, and measurement technologies, while maintaining curriculum relevance and program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• Experience with bench inspection and dimensional measurement techniques.
• Competency in GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, gauges and other precision tools.
• Experience teaching or training in a workforce/technical setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in metrology concepts, GD&T, blueprint reading and measurement technologies.
• Assist with design, development and improvement of metrology curriculum and learning materials.
• Track, assess and report student outcomes to ensure program effectiveness.
• Advise and mentor students, supporting their academic and professional development.
• Engage with industry partners to align curriculum with workforce needs.
