Job summary

ATDM Maritime Training Center in Danville, VA is seeking a full-time Additive Manufacturing Instructor for the second shift to deliver hands-on training and curriculum development in advanced manufacturing for adult learners. The role requires expertise in additive manufacturing processes, CAD/CAM workflows, DFAM, and laboratory instruction.

You will mentor students, ensure safety, and stay current with industry trends while supporting occasional off-site or evening sessions and travel as

Qualifications

• Associate degree, bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a minimum of two years of experience with additive manufacturing processes.
• Experience with Design for Additive Manufacturing (DFAM).
• Extensive experience using CAD/CAM software applications (Fusion 360 or Mastercam).
• Experience with additive manufacturing slicing software (Eiger.io).

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on training and maintain curricula for additive manufacturing.
• Provide classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction in accelerated workforce training.
• Teach additive manufacturing safety practices and industry standards.
• Mentor adult learners and assess student performance.
• Maintain instructional materials and laboratory readiness.
• Collaborate with staff and industry partners to improve outcomes.
• Stay current with additive manufacturing technologies.
• Support occasional travel or off-site instruction.
