Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Technician 2, Metrology to support semiconductor wafer fabrication in a cleanroom. You will maintain and troubleshoot metrology equipment, aim for high tool availability, and drive continuous improvement across the Diffusion & Wet Sink module.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience in semiconductor environments, with familiarity in KLA Surfscan, F5X, and P170 systems, plus strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics, Electromechanical Technology, Semiconductor Manufacturing, or related technical field; equal technical or military experience considered.
• Minimum 2 years experience maintaining semiconductor processing equipment, preferably including metrology tools.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and use diagnostic tools like digital voltmeters and oscilloscopes.
• Strong communication, time management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all cleanroom protocols, safety requirements, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Monitor, assess, and respond to equipment performance trends within the module.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and diagnostic maintenance with root-cause resolution.
• Execute structured, model-based troubleshooting to reduce tool downtime.
• Analyze tool performance data to identify trends and support continuous improvement.
• Use SPC methods to evaluate tool health and process stability.
• Maintain a clean, audit-ready work area complying with 5S.
• Document maintenance actions, findings, and system updates.
• Share knowledge and best practices with the team.
• Support continuous improvement to increase uptime and reduce cost of ownership.
