Job summary

Applied Materials, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to work hands-on in a cleanroom environment, assembling, repairing, and testing multimillion-dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment. You will follow procedures and use electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic components.

The role emphasizes auditing parts, performing troubleshooting, documenting progress, and possibly software installations to improve processes. Travel is up to 10% and the position is full-time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–2 years semiconductor or display experience or related military.
• Ability to follow SOPs (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree or technical education.
• Preferred: ASSEET and BSEET credentials.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair and test equipment using schematics and parts lists.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly under supervision.
• Receive parts and audit them for defects; troubleshoot and improve processes.
• Use test fixtures and measurement equipment to test assemblies and components.
• Complete documentation and software installs as needed.
