Job summary

Hyliion is seeking a Metrology Engineer to own dimensional measurement for KARNO programs, interfacing with Design Engineering, suppliers, Manufacturing and Quality. You will manage the metrology lab, calibration, fixtures, and measurement standards ensuring data integrity.

The role requires hands-on metrology in a precision manufacturing environment, with extensive GD&T, CMM programming, and SBOM-style documentation. Travel and cross-functional collaboration are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
Five+ years in dimensional metrology in precision manufacturing.
Experience with supplier assessments and corrective actions.
Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP preferred.
Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and FMV methods.

Responsibilities

Lead metrology lab and measurement system end-to-end across sites and suppliers.
Approve CMM programs and fixture designs for production parts.
Conduct First Article Inspection per AS9102 or equivalent.
Support Design Engineering with tolerancing and datum scheme reviews.
Maintain calibration and gage control, traceability to standards.
